Everything you need to know about hypnotherapy, what to expect in a session, and how it can help you.
About Hypnotherapy
Hypnotherapy is a therapeutic approach that uses guided hypnosis — a natural state of focused relaxation and heightened inner awareness — to access the subconscious mind. In this state, the mind becomes more open to positive suggestion, insight, and change. It is used to address a wide range of concerns including anxiety, trauma, phobias, habits, and spiritual exploration.
Yes. Hypnosis is a natural, safe state that you enter voluntarily. You remain aware and in control throughout the entire session. You cannot be made to do or say anything against your will. The hypnotic state is similar to the relaxed focus you experience just before falling asleep or when deeply absorbed in a book or film.
No. You will be relaxed but fully aware throughout your session. You will remember what happens and can end the session at any time. Hypnosis is not sleep and it is not mind control — it is a collaborative, consent-based process between you and your hypnotherapist.
Most people can enter a hypnotic state with the right guidance and willingness. The depth of hypnosis varies from person to person, but even lighter states are highly effective for therapeutic work. People who are highly imaginative, open-minded, and willing to follow guidance tend to respond especially well.
Stage hypnosis is entertainment — it selects highly suggestible volunteers for comedic effect. Clinical hypnotherapy is a professional, evidence-informed wellness practice focused entirely on your healing and growth. The two have very little in common beyond the word 'hypnosis.'
Sessions & What to Expect
Your first session begins with a conversation — we discuss your goals, concerns, history, and what you hope to achieve. I explain the process, answer your questions, and ensure you feel completely comfortable before we begin any hypnotic work. The actual hypnotherapy portion follows, tailored specifically to your needs.
Standard sessions are typically 60 to 90 minutes. Life Between Lives and deep spiritual exploration sessions may run 2 to 3 hours. Your first session may be slightly longer to allow time for the initial consultation.
This varies depending on your goals and the nature of what you are working on. Some concerns resolve in one to three sessions. Others — particularly deep trauma work or ongoing personal transformation — benefit from a longer series. We will discuss a realistic plan during your first session.
Sessions are available both in person and via secure video call. Online sessions are just as effective as in-person sessions for most types of hypnotherapy work, and many clients find the comfort of their own home enhances their ability to relax deeply.
Wear comfortable clothing and avoid caffeine for a few hours beforehand if possible. Come with an open mind and a clear intention for what you would like to work on. Avoid alcohol before your session. That is all the preparation you need.
Spiritual & UAP Sessions
Life Between Lives (LBL) hypnotherapy, developed by Dr. Michael Newton, guides clients into a deep hypnotic state to explore the soul's experience between incarnations. Clients often report meeting spirit guides, reviewing past lives, understanding soul contracts, and gaining profound clarity about their current life's purpose. These sessions are among the most deeply transformative experiences clients describe.
Yes. Many experiencers find that their encounter left them with fragmented memories, unexplained emotions, or a sense of isolation because they felt unable to share their experience. Hypnotherapy provides a safe, judgment-free space to revisit and integrate what happened, reduce any associated anxiety, and find personal meaning in the experience.
My role is not to interpret your experience for you or impose any belief system. I approach all extraordinary experiences with genuine curiosity, deep respect, and zero judgment. Whether you interpret your experience through a spiritual, scientific, psychological, or open-ended lens, I am here to support your process — not to define it.
Whether past life memories are literal, metaphorical, or symbolic, the therapeutic value is real and well-documented. Many clients experience profound healing, release of unexplained fears or patterns, and deep insight through past life regression — regardless of their personal beliefs about reincarnation. The experience itself is what matters.
